How We Collect Our Retirement Abroad Data
The Expatra Global Retirement Index is based on the Expatra Global Retirement Survey.
Every year, we survey international retirees, asking them to evaluate on a scale from 1 - very poor to 10 - excellent their retirement destination's infrastructure, climate, ease of adaptation, value for money, friendliness, and other essential aspects of life in retirement.
We compile and analyze the data to produce the Expatra Retirement Index of the top 30 retirement destinations worldwide. This serves as the basis for our selection of the Top 20 Best Places To Retire In The World.
